Another new country music festival has fallen victim to cancellation this year. Following the abrupt cancellations of the KickOff Jam featuring Carrie Underwood and Garth Brooks, and the second annual Sugar Bowl Country Kickoff with Thomas Rhett and Eric Church, the Giddy Up Music Festival in Las Vegas has now been called off.
The multi-day event, scheduled for October 18-20 at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center, was set to feature headliners such as Turnpike Troubadours, Megan Moroney, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. It would have been the first major country music festival in Las Vegas since the tragic Route 91 Harvest incident. However, in a statement, festival organizers announced they are unable to proceed with the event as planned. Ticket holders will receive refunds at their original point of purchase.
