Robert Earl Keen Marks 30 Years of ‘Gringo Honeymoon’ at Bandera Homecoming

Robert Earl Keen will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his seminal album Gringo Honeymoon with a special homecoming event at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar in Bandera, Texas, on Saturday, September 7. The festivities will kick off at 11:30 a.m. and are set to honor the Texas country music legend and his deep connection to the “Cowboy Capital of the World.”

Released in 1994, Gringo Honeymoon features a tribute to Bandera and includes an iconic album cover with Keen posing in front of the 11th Street Cowboy Bar, guitar in hand.

Bandera Mayor Rebeca Gibson expressed the city’s excitement for the event: “There has always been a very special connection between Robert Earl Keen and Bandera. We are honored and thrilled to host this 30th Anniversary Homecoming and present Robert with one of our city’s branding irons.”

The event promises a nostalgic celebration of Keen’s influential work and his enduring bond with Bandera.
