Post Malone, the globally renowned artist, has officially launched his much-anticipated country music tour, marking a new chapter in his evolving career. The tour begins in West Valley City, Utah, a place the multi-genre star considers home.
For over a year, rumors have circulated about Malone’s potential venture into country music. However, for those who have closely collaborated with the artist, this transition is not surprising. Producer Charlie Handsome, who worked on Malone’s latest album, F-1 Trillion, noted the singer’s deep-rooted connection to country music.
“I always said he’s like a reverse Taylor Swift,” Handsome told The New York Times. “He started as a rapper, became a pop sensation, and now, he’s entering the country world. He knows every country song—even something like a Hank Williams Sr. track from 1954. For some reason, he’ll know all the lyrics.”
Following the release of F-1 Trillion, Malone’s debut country album, fans are now witnessing his full embrace of country music, as his nationwide tour kicks off Sunday night.
