The Tkaronto Music Festival is set to return in 2024, once again showcasing the richness of Indigenous music with a diverse lineup of talent. Running from November 7 to 9 at Toronto’s TD Music Hall inside Massey Hall, the festival promises three nights of live performances celebrating Indigenous excellence.
Known as Turtle Island’s premier Indigenous music festival, TKMF2024 will highlight a wide range of talent from across genres. Festival Director Cynthia Lickers-Sage emphasized the importance of this year’s event, stating, “This year’s festival represents an important step in our organization’s goal to put Indigenous artists on the main stage.”
Leading the lineup is the groundbreaking Haudenosaunee DJ duo The Halluci Nation, formerly known as A Tribe Called Red. Another notable headliner is the award-winning blues duo Blue Moon Marquee, who recently earned a Juno and Maple Blues Award for their album Scream, Holler & Howl. The duo is set to release their new record, New Orleans Sessions, on September 27.
The festival promises to deliver a dynamic experience, continuing its tradition of elevating Indigenous voices and showcasing their artistic contributions to the music industry.
