Apple Music Promotes Michael Bryan to Global Head of Country Music

Apple Music has announced the promotion of Michael Bryan to the role of Global Head of Country Music.

Bryan, formerly Director of Editorial Operations & Audio Production, shared the news on LinkedIn, where he revealed his expanded responsibilities will also include overseeing Christian and Gospel music teams. He emphasized his commitment to supporting artists across genres and maintaining the vibrant culture of Music City.

Bryan joined Apple Music in August 2020 as Director of Apple Music Country Radio, following a notable three-year tenure at CAA as a music agent. His career spans over two decades in radio programming, including roles as SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Nashville cluster and PD of Country WSIX (Big 98). He has also served as Executive PD of the syndicated Bobby Bones Show and held significant positions with iHeartMedia Orlando and WNVZ (Z104)/Norfolk.

In his LinkedIn post, Bryan expressed enthusiasm about merging his Southern roots with a global perspective, stating, “This is more than a job — it’s a chance to blend my Southern roots with a global vision.” He looks forward to working with his team to connect with audiences and support meaningful music.
