Emerging country artist Cali Tucker has unveiled her latest single, “Urban Cowboy,” a modern twist on a country fairytale that showcases her unique perspective. The track, co-written by Tucker, G’harah “PK” Degeddingseze, and Tricia Battani, and produced by Degeddingseze and Battani, blends traditional country sounds with contemporary pop elements.
“Urban Cowboy” weaves a heartfelt narrative of longing for a modern cowboy romance, combining classic banjo and acoustic guitar with modern pop beats and echoing background vocals. The song contrasts the “urban” and “cowboy” themes both in its lyrics and production, symbolizing the enduring hope for a fairytale love story.
Tucker reflects on the song’s inspiration, stating, “As kids, we grew up believing in fairy tales and mythical creatures. The Urban Cowboy represents a dream love that we yearn for but rarely encounter. This song is about holding onto that dream and trusting that love will eventually find you.”
In conjunction with the single release, Tucker is also working on a children’s book inspired by the song, aiming to bring the myth of the urban cowboy to young readers through a whimsical and imaginative story.
