Starkville is bracing for an exciting weekend filled with college football and live country music. The Mississippi State Bulldogs will face off against Toledo at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at Davis Wade Stadium, while country music star HARDY will perform a concert at Dudy Noble Field, making it a weekend to remember for sports and music fans alike.
Originally scheduled for Thursday, HARDY’s concert was postponed due to the remnants of Hurricane Francine, and will now take place on Friday at 6 p.m.
Starkville Police Chief Mark Ballard emphasized the extensive preparation that has gone into ensuring a smooth and safe weekend. “The preparation began in late July and early August,” Chief Ballard said. “It takes strong communication and coordination between Mississippi State Athletics, the Mississippi State University Police Department, as well as student athletics.”
Law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to manage the large crowds expected for both events, with safety remaining a top priority.
Local business owners are looking forward to the influx of fans and concertgoers, anticipating a busy and profitable weekend. With two major events on back-to-back days, the atmosphere in Starkville is set to be lively and full of energy.
