Country music superstar Miranda Lambert has officially released her much-anticipated ninth studio album, Postcards From Texas, today (Sept. 13). The 14-track project, which features a mix of cheeky, heartfelt, and introspective tunes, highlights Lambert’s signature blend of sass and soulful storytelling.
The album was teased with two standout tracks: the energetic “Wranglers” and the humorous “Dammit, Randy.” The latest single, “Alimony,” co-written with Shane McAnally and Natalie Hemby, is a dancefloor-ready shuffle that showcases Lambert’s ability to turn personal experiences into relatable, foot-stomping anthems.
Recorded at Austin’s Arlyn Recording Studios, Postcards From Texas is Lambert’s first release since signing with Republic Records earlier this year. The album sees her working alongside producer Jon Randall to deliver a collection of songs exploring love, heartbreak, and resilience—hallmarks of her celebrated career.
But the album release is just the start of the celebration for Lambert. In two weeks, on Sept. 26, she will be honored with the prestigious Country Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards, held at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.
Lambert’s accolades are impressive. With 35 Academy of Country Music Awards and 14 Country Music Association Awards—more than any other female artist—along with three Grammys, she has become one of the most decorated women in country music history. Her chart success is equally remarkable, with five No. 1 hits on Hot Country Songs, seven No. 1s on Country Airplay, seven No. 1 albums on Top Country Albums, and a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
As Lambert continues to break new ground with Postcards From Texas, her influence in country music remains as powerful as ever, both on the stage and in the studio.
