Country music star James Blundell has made a major life change, sharing with fans that he’s given up alcohol. In a recent interview with New Idea, Blundell revealed how quitting drinking has transformed his life, saying, “I feel terrific, the best I’ve felt in years. I couldn’t be happier, and I reckon giving up the booze was the best thing I’ve done in ages.”
Blundell, who had his first beer at 14, admitted that his drinking had become a serious issue in recent years. The turning point came after listening to a podcast featuring Australian actor Brendan Cowell discussing his own journey to sobriety. Inspired by Cowell’s story, Blundell decided to quit cold turkey.
“I have a bottle of expensive whisky sitting on the sideboard, and there’s no temptation,” Blundell said. “Likewise, it doesn’t phase me if people are drinking around me.” His newfound sobriety marks a significant shift for the country star, who is embracing this new chapter in his life with renewed clarity and positivity.
