Country music star Kip Moore has officially announced a new partnership with Virgin Music Group following his departure from MCA Nashville earlier this year. Initially planning to release his next album independently, Moore changed course after engaging in conversations with Virgin and other labels, finding Virgin to be the ideal fit for his evolving musical direction.
“I believe life is what you make of it, and it’s enriched by the people you surround yourself with,” Moore said. “I see this next chapter as an opportunity to keep building brick by brick. Virgin’s passion for my music made me excited to team up and see where we could take this next chapter.”
Along with the announcement of his new partnership, Moore revealed that his first single in nearly two years, “Live Here To Work,” will be released on Friday, September 20. The track, co-produced by Jaren Johnston, signals a new creative chapter for Moore, with promises of more frequent music releases on the horizon. “The fans are going to be getting more music from me than ever before. We wanted to come out swinging with this one,” Moore shared.
Moore’s career with MCA Nashville was marked by five albums that all landed in the top 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, including his 2011 chart-topping hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.” His most recent album, Damn Love, dropped earlier this year, and he has been teasing a sixth album, which is reportedly already finished.
As he prepares to release new music, Moore will also hit the road this fall for the U.S. leg of his Nomad World Tour, starting in Columbia, South Carolina, and concluding in Boston, Massachusetts, this December.
