Rapper Azealia Banks has publicly called on Taylor Swift to file a lawsuit against Elon Musk following a controversial social media post by the tech entrepreneur.
Musk, 53, made headlines with a message on X (formerly Twitter) where he offered to “give” Swift a child and vowed to “guard” her cats. This comment, which many perceived as sexist, was widely criticized for its implications. The post appeared to reference derogatory remarks made by JD Vance, a current vice-presidential candidate, about “childless cat ladies.”
Swift, who has not commented on Musk’s post and is known to have cats but no children, has remained silent on the matter. However, Banks, 33, seized the moment to suggest that Swift should take legal action against Musk.
In a repost of Musk’s statement, Banks wrote, “Nah this is actual sexual harassment. Taylor should flex on his a** and sue him for loads of cash and level up to be the most undefeatable richest woman in the history of music. Take his f**king money, Taylor!”
Banks also speculated on the broader impact of such a lawsuit, humorously predicting that a successful legal battle could affect rapper Kanye West. West’s longstanding feud with Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.
“Lmao the heart attack Kanye will have when she is ULTRA-UNREACHABLE levels of WEALTHY off his daddy Elon’s back bwahahahaha,” Banks added in her post.
As of now, Swift has not made any public statements regarding Banks’ suggestion or her potential response to Musk’s remarks.
