Benoit, who co-wrote the song with fellow musician Gerry Foote, drew inspiration from over a decade of experience in the Canadian country music scene. He observed a common desire among audiences: the craving for songs that invite sing-alongs, whether original or covers. “Everyone wants to hear a song they can sing along to,” Benoit notes. “So, while touring Ontario, we crafted this track with that universal truth in mind.”
