Country music star Nathan Carter has led heartfelt tributes following the passing of his close friend, Peter Hanlon. Hanlon, a well-known figure from Greenore, Co Louth, recently died under the care of the Blackrock Clinic in Dublin.
Peter Hanlon, the father of Jenny Hanlon—a former Louth Rose of Tralee contestant and rising talent in Irish country music—was remembered fondly by Carter and many others. Hanlon’s death leaves a void among his loving wife Frances, their children Margaret, Jenny, Patrick, and Peter Jr., as well as his grandson Luca, brother Michael, sister Bridie, and extended family and friends.
In tribute, Carter shared a poignant photo of himself with Hanlon on his Facebook page, accompanied by a touching message: “Peter Hanlon RIP my friend! You were 1 in a million! Thinking of all your family & friends today!”
