Country music fans are in for a treat this Saturday as the Eli Young Band takes the stage at the Vilar Performing Arts Center, closing out the summer concert series. The show is set for 7 p.m., offering an evening of chart-topping hits from one of the most successful bands in country music.
The band, formed at the University of North Texas in Denton, got its name from lead singer Mike Eli and guitarist James Young, with Jon Jones on bass and Chris Thompson on drums completing the lineup. From dorm room rehearsals to the national stage, the group has climbed the country music charts with hits like “Crazy Girl,” which won both the Billboard and Academy of Country Music’s Country Song of the Year award, and fan favorites like “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” “Drunk Last Night,” and “Love Ain’t.”
While fans likely won’t see a surprise appearance from Andy Grammer to perform their duet “Honey, I’m Good,” there’s always the chance it could make the setlist.
Tickets, including those for the orchestra pit, are still available. Visit VilarPAC.org for more information and to secure your spot for what promises to be a memorable performance.
