The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations have been revealed, with Megan Thee Stallion and Kendrick Lamar emerging as the top contenders. Megan Thee Stallion leads this year’s nominations with an impressive 12 nods, spanning categories including Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Best Live Performer, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Artist of the Year.
For the first time since the Hip-Hop Artist of the Year category was introduced in 2020, the nominations include an equal number of female artists, featuring Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and GloRilla.
Kendrick Lamar follows closely with 11 nominations, largely driven by his track “Not Like Us” and his featured verse on Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”
The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards will air on BET on October 15 at 8 p.m. EST, with Fat Joe returning as host for the third consecutive year. Other nominees include Doja Cat, Offset, Central Cee, Missy Elliott, and Kid Cudi.
