New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) are set to make history with their inaugural residency in Las Vegas next summer. The iconic pop group will perform at Dolby Live at Park MGM, kicking off their ‘The Right Stuff’ concerts with two sets of shows: from June 20 to July 5, and again from November 1 to November 15.
Band member Donnie Wahlberg expressed excitement about the opportunity, stating, “We cherish every chance to perform for our fans. A Las Vegas residency allows us to elevate our performance and interaction with fans to the next level. We intend to maximize everything that Dolby Live at Park MGM offers, aiming to create the most incredible NKOTB concert experience ever.”
He added that the residency will also leverage the unique offerings of Las Vegas to host various events designed to engage directly with fans, asserting, “Las Vegas will never be the same after the New Kids and the Blockheads take over the town.”
The announcement was made at a fan event in Las Vegas on Thursday, September 19, 2024, just days before the band is scheduled to perform at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, September 21.
Tickets for the Las Vegas shows will be available for purchase starting September 27.
This news follows a busy summer for NKOTB, which included the release of their first studio album in 11 years, titled Still Kids, in May. The band wrapped up their ‘Magic Summer Tour’ in August, performing in various cities across the U.S. and Canada, including Dallas, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and Inglewood, California.
Wahlberg described the album as “the most mature we’ve ever made, yet it’s also the most fun and comfortable.” He emphasized that it brings the New Kids and their fans “full circle,” focusing on themes of hope, possibilities, and authenticity.
