Nu metal revivalists Tetrarch have returned with their first new music since 2021, releasing the single “Live Not Fantasize” today, September 19, accompanied by a dynamic music video.
Lead guitarist Diamond Rowe expressed the band’s excitement about the release: “We are extremely excited to share ‘Live Not Fantasize’ with the world. Writing this song was a blast; it’s heavy and aggressive while still featuring a catchy chorus that sticks with you.”
Rowe elaborated on the song’s themes, stating, “This track is about not allowing negative thoughts and feelings to define who you are. It emphasizes the importance of pushing through tough times to find inner peace, enabling you to truly live rather than just dream of something better.”
Tetrarch originated as a thrash metal band in 2007, formed by Rowe and singer/guitarist Josh Fore while they were still in high school. The band shifted towards a nu metal sound and self-released their debut album, Freak, a decade later, garnering moderate radio airplay in the U.S. and support from notable metal figures like Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed and Dino Cazares of Fear Factory. They later signed with prominent metal label Napalm Records ahead of their acclaimed 2021 follow-up album, Unstable.
