Alt-pop artist Alemeda has officially signed with Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE) and Warner Records, Billboard has learned exclusively. This makes her the third female artist to join TDE, following in the footsteps of SZA and Doechii.

In a statement, Alemeda expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “TDE placed trust and time in me to find my sound and develop as an artist at my own pace. To be signed to them means being more than just an artist; it signifies becoming a vital part of Black art and culture. I’m honored to be the third woman ever signed to this historic roster of talented culture creators. Warner Records also understands who I am as an artist, and their proven success in the rock and pop genres gives me confidence in our future together. I believe they are the right team to support my artistic growth, and I’m excited for what lies ahead with them and TDE.”

This announcement coincides with the release of Alemeda’s debut EP, FK IT, which features eight tracks, including her viral 2021 hit “Gonna Bleach My Eyebrows,” “Guy’s Girl,” and “I Hate Your Face.” Earlier this month, she showcased her latest single, “I Already Dug Your Grave,” on the popular German performance platform COLORSxSTUDIOS. She described the EP as “the truest expression of who I am right now,” emphasizing themes of releasing what no longer serves her and embracing the complexities of authenticity.
