Country music legend Randy Travis, once a dominant force in the genre with Grammy awards, 16 No. 1 hits, and a spot in the Country Music Hall of Fame, will make a special appearance in Jacksonville as part of his More Life tour.
Despite a 2013 stroke that took him off the stage and robbed him of his iconic voice, Travis is determined to stay connected with his fans. The tour, which stops at the Thrasher-Horne Center in Orange Park on January 25, features his longtime touring band performing his classic hits. Vocal duties will be handled by singer James Dupré.
Travis will participate in a meet-and-greet and make a “special appearance” during the concert. At previous shows, Travis and his wife joined fans on stage, watching the performances and engaging with the audience. His presence on this tour marks a continued effort to maintain his bond with fans, despite his health challenges.
