Country music fans in Fort Dodge are in for a treat this Saturday, as two nationally acclaimed artists take the stage at the highly anticipated Downtown Country Jam. Headlining the event is Joe Nichols, best known for his chart-topping hit “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off.”

Joining Nichols is The Voice 2022 finalist Morgan Myles, who placed third on the popular show. Myles has a local connection, as she is a close friend of Fort Dodge native Dani Huss, who, along with her mother Dee Huss, traveled to Los Angeles to support Myles during her semi-final performance on The Voice.

Opening the show will be Tyler Richton & The High Bank Boys, a band hailing from Deep River, Iowa, bringing their unique blend of country music to the Fort Dodge crowd.

The event, organized by Shellabration Inc., will fill the streets with live country music, with the stage set at the intersection of Central Avenue and Ninth Street. “It’s going to be a great event,” said Craig Schlienz, a Shellabration board member. “We believe signing Joe Nichols will be another home run for Downtown Country Jam.”

Tickets are available for $45, with any remaining sold at the gate for $50. Nichols, a seasoned performer, has 18 Top 40 hits under his belt and was named the Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music.

This weekend promises to be an exciting celebration of country music, headlined by one of the genre’s beloved stars.
