Kassi Ashton has officially launched her debut album, Made from the Dirt, which was released on September 20. The 30-year-old rising star in country music aspires for this album to mark the beginning of a long and successful career. Recently nominated for the prestigious New Female Artist of the Year award at the 2024 ACM Awards, Ashton has already made a significant impact on the Country Airplay charts with a series of hit singles.
Ashton describes the songs on Made from the Dirt as deeply personal, reflecting her growth as an artist. “The music that I have made now and that’s on this album, I couldn’t have made that five years ago,” she explained. “I just wasn’t as concentrated and honed in on who I am as a person. It wasn’t like I discovered myself; it’s more so I uncovered myself.”
Looking ahead, Ashton is set to perform at Way Out West Fest in El Paso on September 28 and will open for Clint Black in Surf City, North Carolina, on November 2. With her debut album and upcoming performances, Ashton is poised to make her mark in the country music scene.
