The Jimboomba Flame BBQ Festival made a triumphant return on September 21, captivating attendees with the savory aromas of smoked meats and a star-studded lineup of country music talent. Held at Jimboomba Sports Park, the festival delivered an enhanced experience, delighting both locals and visitors.
Since its inaugural event in 2020, which drew over 5,000 attendees at Cusack Lane, this year’s festival aimed to build on that success. Headlining the event were country music heavyweights Zac & George, joined by artists such as Tori Forsyth, Jake Whittaker, Cassidy-Rae, Tennessee Lights, Jeremy Turner, and Exit 24.
Division 9 Councillor Scott Bannan expressed gratitude for the community’s strong support and reflected on the festival’s growth. “We learned a lot from the event we did two years ago, spreading the venue out to ensure it wasn’t too jam-packed,” he noted. “Every year, we’ll make this bigger and better.”
Bannan also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the local council team, festival organizers, and volunteers. “The work they put in to make this successful is massive. Our interpreters deserve a medal for their hard work throughout the night.”
The success of the Jimboomba Flame BBQ Festival has solidified its place as a staple in the community calendar, and with promises of an even larger event next year, Jimboomba residents eagerly anticipate 2025.
