Ella Langley is gearing up to drop her latest track, “Weren’t for the Wind,” on October 4, and she shared the exciting news on social media along with a sneak peek of the song.
In the preview, Ella reflects on themes of heartbreak and change with lyrics that capture her introspective style: “Wouldn’t paint me as a heartbreaker but I’ve said a few goodbyes… Depending on the weather I’m going and hell baby nobody knows where.” The chorus offers a poignant exploration of what could have been, singing, “Maybe that plane would never take off… Maybe I’d settle down, dig in some roots.”
In addition to her new single, Ella hinted at the release of “3 more songs,” although it remains unclear if they will debut alongside “Weren’t for the Wind.”
Currently, Ella is making waves on the country charts, holding the #14 spot with her collaboration with Riley Green on “You Look Like You Love Me.” Fans can catch a snippet of her upcoming single on Instagram.
