Grammy-winning country artist Lee Greenwood will perform in the greater Peoria area as part of his 40th Anniversary Tour for the iconic song “God Bless the USA.” The concert is scheduled for January 31, 2025, at the Five Points Washington community center from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.
Greenwood, a recipient of multiple Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards, won a Grammy in 1985 for Top Male Vocal Performance with the song “I.O.U.” His patriotic anthem “God Bless the U.S.A.” achieved remarkable success, charting in the top five on three occasions—1991, 2001, and 2003—making it unique in its genre. Known for his unwavering support of the U.S. military, Greenwood has received the Congressional Medal of Honor Society’s National Patriot’s Award and has entertained troops on over 30 USO Tours.
