Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former bodyguard, Gene Deal, has made explosive allegations regarding the rap mogul’s connections to a wider political scandal. In an interview on The Art of Dialogue podcast, Deal claimed that Diddy possesses tapes of politicians participating in his notorious “freak off” sessions, suggesting that the ongoing investigation could implicate prominent figures in New York City.
Deal, who protected Diddy throughout the 1990s, emphasized that the case against Diddy—stemming from charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and prostitution—extends beyond the rapper himself. He stated, “This is all bigger than Diddy,” while refraining from naming any individuals involved in the alleged tapes.
The charges against Diddy follow federal raids on his Los Angeles and Miami properties, where authorities reportedly found over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant linked to the controversial sessions, which involved coercing women into drug-fueled sexual encounters with male prostitutes.
While speculation surrounds the existence of recorded tapes, prosecutors have not confirmed their existence. When asked if celebrities were featured in these tapes, Deal hinted at Diddy’s history of hosting celebrity parties.
Deal suggested that Diddy’s current legal troubles reflect a cycle of learned behavior from other powerful figures in the music industry, stating, “Puff wasn’t born a monster, he was made into a monster.” He portrayed Diddy as a product of his environment, influenced by a culture rife with drugs and violence.
Reflecting on Diddy’s arrest, Deal characterized it as “karma” for past actions, linking it to the broader narrative of tragedy in hip-hop, alongside the deaths of icons like Tupac and Biggie Smalls. “He brought it on himself,” he asserted, highlighting Diddy’s awareness of his wrongdoing.
As the situation unfolds, the implications of these claims could have significant repercussions for both Diddy and the individuals allegedly involved.
