Lady Gaga has announced the release of a companion album for her upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. The 38-year-old artist shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, confirming that the album, titled Harlequin, will be available later this week on September 27.
In her post, Gaga wrote, “Harlequin. September 27. A companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux.” She accompanied the announcement with an intriguing cover image featuring her in a lifejacket, standing fully clothed in a shower as water washes away her clown makeup.
Additionally, Gaga revealed the album’s tracklist, featuring 13 songs displayed on the back of a milk carton in a second photo. Among the notable tracks are classics like “Oh When the Saints,” “Get Happy,” “World on a String,” and “That’s Life.”
This announcement follows a series of hints from the Grammy Award-winning star throughout the month, including billboards in New York and Los Angeles displaying the phrases “LG 6.5” and “LG Six.Five.” Her Instagram also featured cryptic messages such as “I’m ready for my interview” and “Still not October.”
Gaga’s seventh studio album, LG7, is set for release in February 2025. In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, she mentioned that her vocals for Joker: Folie à Deux sound different as she aimed to distinguish herself from her character in the film.
