Morgan Wallen emerged as the standout winner at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards (PCCAs), which aired live from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on Thursday, September 26, across NBC and Peacock. Wallen secured four prestigious awards, including The People’s Artist for the second consecutive year and The Concert Tour, also for his ongoing One Night at a Time tour. Additionally, he was honored as the Social Country Star of 2024 and won The Song of 2024 for his collaboration on Post Malone’s track “I Had Some Help.”
This year’s success serves as a redemption for Wallen, who fell short in 2023 when he lost the top honors to Jelly Roll, winning three awards to Jelly Roll’s four—an early indicator of Jelly Roll’s rising stardom.
Luke Combs also had a notable evening, taking home three awards: The Album of 2024 for Fathers & Sons, Male Artist of 2024, and Male Song of 2024 for his hit “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” from Twisters: The Album. With its current trajectory, the song, co-written with Jessi Alexander and Jonathan Singleton, is being considered a strong contender for an Oscar for Best Original Song.
