Johnny Van Zant, lead vocalist of Lynyrd Skynyrd, shared alarming news on social media regarding his daughter’s health, prompting a call for prayers from fans. In a video posted on Facebook, he announced the cancellation of several shows due to the health issues facing his youngest daughter, Taylor.
Van Zant explained that Taylor recently experienced numbness on her right side, leading her to seek emergency medical attention. A CAT scan revealed a mass on her brain, accompanied by some bleeding, which was responsible for her symptoms. Despite the serious nature of the situation, Van Zant reassured fans that the medical team believes it is not cancer.
“We are not out of the woods yet, but we are in a lot better position than we thought we were in the beginning,” he said, expressing gratitude for the support and prayers his family has received during this challenging time.
