Rotterdam native David J, known off-stage as David Tomasek, recently made his Grand Ole Opry debut, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning music career. The pop/country singer performed at the iconic Nashville venue over the weekend, sharing the moment with family and friends.
“Last night will be a night I never forget,” David posted on Facebook. “I got to make my [Grand Ole Opry] debut surrounded by my family, friends, and the best team around. I love y’all so much. Thank you, Grand Ole Opry, for making this the best night of my life.”
David J is now gearing up for his next performance at WishFest in Amsterdam on Saturday, October 12. The 20-year-old artist has graced the festival stage in previous years, and organizers are thrilled to welcome him back.
“It’s a no-brainer on our end,” said Robert Spagnola, director of the city’s Tourism, Marketing & Recreation Department. “Who wouldn’t want him back? He’s such an up-and-coming star. How often does someone who just played at the Grand Ole Opry come to Amsterdam a couple of weeks later?”
