Country music sensation Lainey Wilson chose Laramie, Wyoming, as the backdrop for her latest music video, offering a nod to the local charm and scenery. The video, which accompanies her recently released album Whirlwind, was filmed well before the album’s official debut.
Haylee Russell, manager of the Cowboy Saloon and Dance Hall in Laramie, explained the decision to shoot in the area: “I think she just happened to have some downtime between tour stops and was playing Cheyenne Frontier Days. It all kind of came together from there.”
Several familiar Laramie landmarks, including J’s Prairie Rose, the Cowboy Saloon and Dance Hall, and Oxford Ranch, make appearances in the video. Even the local sheriff’s department was featured, adding to the authentic Wyoming feel.
Fans of both Wilson and Laramie can now catch glimpses of the city in the country star’s latest project.
