For the first time since 2013, Broadway Dallas is bringing live entertainment back to the State Fair of Texas with Cirque du Soleil’s latest creation, Songblazers. This new show celebrates the pioneering spirit of country music’s trailblazers and runs until October 20. Each ticket purchased for Songblazers includes complimentary same-day admission to the fair.

Songblazers features some of country music’s most iconic songs, including “Crazy,” “King of the Road,” “Achy Breaky Heart,” and “All My Exes Live in Texas,” all set against the backdrop of Cirque du Soleil’s breathtaking athleticism and acrobatics. The narrative follows Dusty, a young songwriter who becomes disheartened after a lackluster performance at a local carnival talent show. Determined to reignite his passion, Dusty embarks on a journey where he meets Wyatt, his future songwriting partner.

The audience is taken on an emotional adventure through the American West, filled with campfire sing-alongs, barn dances, and bar fights. Throughout their journey, Dusty and Wyatt encounter a colorful cast of characters—outlaws, ranch girls, brakemen, and conductors—who impart valuable lessons about life, love, and the relentless pursuit of dreams. Together, they navigate the ups and downs of a musical career, experiencing moments of triumph, despair, camaraderie, and rivalry.
