Country and rock star Darius Rucker shared a heartbreaking message on social media Wednesday, announcing the passing of longtime production manager Jason “Devil Boy” Parkin, who had been part of his crew for nearly 25 years.
“He was more than our production manager, he was our brother,” Rucker wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “We are devastated by his passing this week. Our prayers are with his family — thank you for loaning him to us all these years. Rest in peace, DB, til we meet again. – DR.”
Fans and followers responded with an outpouring of condolences, including one moving comment: “A great soul serves everyone all the time. A great soul never dies. He will live on in your memory.”
