The Late Late Show has unveiled an exciting lineup for its upcoming Country Music Special, airing this Friday night. Host Patrick Kielty invites viewers to don their Stetsons and shine their cowboy boots for a celebration of Ireland’s vibrant country music scene.
The special promises a diverse range of performances, featuring popular artists Lisa McHugh, Lee Matthews, Cliona Hagan, and Sandy Kelly, who will deliver both chart-topping hits and beloved classics.
In a poignant tribute, the show will honor legendary country singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson, who recently passed away, with special performances from Daniel O’Donnell and former EastEnders star Shona McGarty.
Kielty will also engage with the “Queens of Country,” including Philomena Begley, Susan McCann, and Margo, in a lively discussion. Music fans can expect lively performances from Derek Ryan and The Kilfenora Céilí Band, guaranteed to get viewers dancing in their seats.
Additionally, guests Janet Devlin, Garron Noone, Margo, and Mike Denver will participate in the fun segment “Wild West Roulette,” while father-daughter duo Jimmy and Claudia Buckley will showcase their musical talents in a duet.
The night will feature a celebration of beloved country songs with Michael English and friends Chantelle Padden, Clodagh Lawlor, and David James, alongside the induction of another star into The Late Late Show Country Music Hall of Fame.
