If you’re in Historic Folsom this Saturday night and looking for distinctive live entertainment, head over to the Gaslight Company on Sutter Street. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and live music, the venue will feature the rising indie country band Beard Picker.
The locally-based band combines rootsy guitar and bass with the laid-back sounds of harmonica and washboard, creating a unique blend of indie and outlaw covers alongside their blue-collar original tunes. Influenced by artists such as Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers, and Sturgill Simpson, Beard Picker also pays homage to classics like Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Jr. Concertgoers are encouraged to wear their boots for an authentic experience.
Beard Picker will perform tracks from their latest release, a live recorded EP titled Safety Meeting Sessions. Lead singer and songwriter Nick Bossio, who draws inspiration from his long days as a contractor in Sacramento, infuses his music with personal experiences.
“If you’ve had enough pop country for one week and now you’re in the mood for the gritty sound of strings bendin’ and boots stompin’, this is your night at Gaslight Company,” Bossio said. Don’t miss the chance to enjoy an evening of captivating music this Saturday!
