Jamey Johnson is set to make a highly anticipated return with his first original album in 14 years. The country star has not only confirmed the release of Midnight Gasoline but also plans to unveil a series of albums in the coming years.
Rumors of new music have circulated alongside the release of several singles, including “21 Guns” in May, “What a View,” a cover of Charlie Daniels’ “Trudy” in July, and “Sober” in late August. The recent announcement of Johnson signing with Warner Music Nashville further fueled speculation about his musical comeback.
On Friday, October 4, Johnson revealed that Midnight Gasoline, a 12-track album, will be released on November 8. This marks his first original album since 2010’s The Guitar Song. Officially titled Cash One, Midnight Gasoline, the album was recorded over three weeks at Cash Cabin Studios in Hendersonville, TN. During this time, Johnson resided in his tour bus at the studio and recorded a total of 30 songs, promising an exciting new chapter for his fans.
