Female rap powerhouses Yung Miami and GloRilla will bring their talents to the stage at the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards, joining a star-studded lineup that includes 310babii, 2 Chainz, Big Boogie, Bossman DLow, E-40, Juicy J, Roscoe Dash, Soulja Boy, and Trina.
This year, Travis Scott will receive the prestigious I Am Hip-Hop Award, honoring his significant cultural and creative influence in the genre. Scott, who has also garnered six nominations, is up for Best Hip-Hop Video for “Type Shit” with Future, Metro Boomin, and Playboi Carti, as well as Song of the Year for the hit track “Fe!n” featuring Carti.
Leading the nominations is Megan Thee Stallion, with 12 nods, including Hip-Hop Artist of the Year and Hip-Hop Album of the Year. Kendrick Lamar follows closely with 11 nominations, boosted by the success of his single “Not Like Us” and his feature on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.” Drake, who appears on both tracks, has secured eight nominations.
Returning to host the ceremony is Bronx-born rapper Fat Joe, who previously hosted in 2022 and 2023.
GloRilla, who’s had a packed schedule, recently performed “Yeah Glo!” and “TGIF” at the VMAs. Her highly anticipated album Glorious, which features collaborations with artists like Sexyy Red, Latto, Muni Long, and Megan Thee Stallion, drops October 11. This will be her second album release of the year, following Ehhthang Ehhthang in April.
The 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards will be taped on October 8 at Drai’s Beachclub and Nightclub in Las Vegas and will air on October 15 on BET.
