Country music star Keith Urban is set to headline and co-host New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, as announced by CBS in a press release on Tuesday. The special will air on December 31 at 8 p.m. EST and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.
Urban, 56, will join Entertainment Tonight correspondent Rachel Smith to co-host the five-hour celebration, which will take place at the Bicentennial Mall stage in Nashville. The lineup already includes performances from Kane Brown and Jelly Roll, with additional artists expected to be announced soon.
The event will feature the traditional countdown to midnight EST, culminating in the iconic Nashville music note drop and a spectacular fireworks display at midnight CST.
Nashville’s Big Bash will be directed by Sandra Restrepo and executive produced by Robert Deaton and Mary Hilliard Harrington, in collaboration with Music City Inc., the foundation of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.
Urban’s most recent album, High, was released in September and includes hit singles like “Straight Line,” “Messed Up as Me,” “Go Home W U,” and “Wildside.” Fans can look forward to a memorable New Year’s Eve celebration filled with music and excitement.
