Rod Wave has returned with his sixth studio album, Last Lap, released on Friday, October 11, via Alamo Records. The Florida rapper kicks off the 23-track album with Turtle Race, a piano-driven opener in which he reflects on the pain and loss that have shaped his life. The album continues with collaborations like F**k Fame, featuring Lil Baby and Lil Yachty, and concludes with Jersey Numbers, featuring Rylo Rodriguez.

In an Instagram post shortly before the album’s release, Rod Wave expressed gratitude to his fans. “Thank you for everything,” he wrote. “Thank you for allowing me to live out my dream, take care of my family, and for the ups and downs along the way.”

Last Lap arrived just a week before Rod Wave is set to kick off his “Last Lap Tour” on October 19 in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour will span 35 cities across the United States, with guest performances by Moneybagg Yo, Toosii, Lil Poppa, Dess Dior, and Eelmatic, wrapping up in Fort Lauderdale on December 18.

Rod Wave’s release coincides with new projects from artists like GloRilla, DeJ Loaf, Joell Ortiz, and BigXthaPlug. Fans can catch songs from these albums and more on iHeartRadio’s Rap Rising playlist.
