Lil Durk has announced his highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Deep Thoughts, set to drop on October 18 via Alamo Records. The Chicago rapper revealed the news on Instagram, sharing the album’s title, release date, and cover art, which shows him floating above the ocean.
“Deep thoughts 10/18 for the people for the trenches smurk back,” Durk captioned the post, hinting at the album’s themes.
As a preview, Durk also released a new single from the album titled Monitoring Me, accompanied by a dynamic music video. In the track, he reflects on personal conflicts, rapping, “He said something in public, I got in his DMs and made him apologize.”
Directed by Jerry Production, the video captures the track’s intense energy as Durk performs atop a gas station roof, bringing his signature style to the visual. Fans can expect Deep Thoughts to continue Durk’s exploration of raw and unfiltered themes.
