As they approach their 45th anniversary in 2025, German metal legends Grave Digger have released their first single, “Kingdom Of Skulls,” from the upcoming album Bone Collector, set to drop on January 17. The band, founded in 1980 in Gladbeck, Germany, has established itself as a significant force in the metal scene, starting with their breakthrough album Heavy Metal Breakdown in 1984.
In a statement, frontman Chris Boltendahl shared his excitement about the new track, saying, “At last, our first single, ‘Kingdom Of Skulls,’ from the new album Bone Collector, along with the accompanying video clip, is here. It features a hefty dose of heavy metal, characterized by straightforward guitar riffs, driving bass, powerful drums, and my signature grating vocals. The track blasts out of the speakers in the best old-school style, reminiscent of the 80s—no frills, just pure heavy metal. This song is packed with Grave Digger’s trademarks, so enjoy this hot piece of metal and get ready for more!”
The music video for “Kingdom Of Skulls” is now available for viewing, and the pre-sale for Bone Collector is currently underway. Fans can purchase the album in various formats, including CD digipak, picture vinyl, colored marbled vinyl, and digitally. Limited edition splatter vinyl and digipak bundles, featuring an exclusive “Old School” shirt, are available through the RPM & ROAR Mailorder Shop.
