In a K-pop landscape dominated by dance music, Xdinary Heroes is carving out its own unique identity as a rock band. Formed under JYP Entertainment, they are the label’s second rock group, following the success of DAY6.
The six-member band comprises drummer Gunil, keyboardists Jungsu and O.de, guitarists Gaon and Junhan, and bassist Jooyeon. Xdinary Heroes has quickly garnered attention for its commitment to live performances, a rarity in an era increasingly focused on electronic pop.
Since their debut, Xdinary Heroes has built a dedicated fan base through a series of distinctive rock-infused releases. In 2024 alone, they have launched several digital singles as part of their “Open ♭eta” project, including Boy Comics in June, LOVE and FEAR in July, Save Me in August, and iNSTEAD!, which featured renowned rock star Yoon Do-hyun of YB and was released in September.
The band’s momentum has also translated to the stage, with their “Closed ♭eta” concert series, which ran from April to September and comprised 15 sold-out shows. This series provided Xdinary Heroes with invaluable opportunities to connect with their growing fan base.
