The Grand Ole Opry, a cornerstone of country music, is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025 with a year-long series of events known as “Opry 100.” This centennial celebration will honor the profound impact the Opry has had on shaping country music over the last century.
The festivities will kick off on January 3, 2025, at the iconic Ryman Auditorium, with a performance by Bill Anderson, a Country Music Hall of Famer and the Opry’s longest-serving member. Throughout the year, each Opry show will pay homage to the venue’s storied history, while special events, including “Opry 100 Honors,” will celebrate legendary country artists such as Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Loretta Lynn.
“Opry 100” also promises 100 debut performances by rising country stars, a fan-curated collection of classic country hits titled Opry 100 Greatest Songs, and a commemorative book, 100 Years of Grand Ole Opry. The festivities will culminate on November 28, 2025, marking the exact date of the Opry’s first-ever performance, with a live event whose details will be announced soon.
