After revealing his upcoming album during the Vultures 2 listening event in China in late September, fans are eagerly anticipating more information about Ye’s new project, titled Bully. This album marks the Chicago rapper’s first solo release in over three years, following his joint efforts with Ty Dolla $ign on Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 earlier this year.

Ye made the announcement at the Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, stating, “I got a new album coming out. The album’s called Bully,” in a video clip that has circulated online.

Some fans speculated on the music site Genius that the album’s title may draw inspiration from Larry Clark’s 2001 film of the same name, which explores a group of teenagers who take violent revenge on an abusive friend. However, these claims have yet to be confirmed.

While the album’s title was not officially disclosed during the event, TMZ reported earlier in 2023 that Ye was actively working on a solo album and had produced around ten tracks while collaborating on the Vultures series. Following this, producer Erick Sermon mentioned on The Bootleg Kev podcast that the album was initially titled Y3. However, Ye later refuted this information, messaging Genius on Instagram to clarify, “Ain’t no Y3 album.”

As fans await further details about Bully, excitement continues to build around Ye’s return to solo artistry.
