British rock legends Skunk Anansie are set to make a triumphant return with a headline tour across the UK in Spring 2025. The tour promises a fresh production and marks an exciting new chapter in the band’s storied history, with new music on the way.
Formed in 1994 in London, Skunk Anansie quickly gained recognition for their distinctive fusion of alternative rock, punk, and dub influences, reflecting their multicultural roots. Their powerful lyrics addressing social and political themes, combined with lead vocalist Skin’s unapologetic queer identity and striking fashion sense, established them as a significant cultural force.
With a collection of critically acclaimed albums—including Paranoid & Sunburnt, Stoosh, Post Orgasmic Chill, and 25LIVE@25—alongside hit singles like “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good),” “Selling Jesus,” “Twisted (Everyday Hurts),” and “Weak,” Skunk Anansie has sold millions of records worldwide and famously headlined the Glastonbury Festival in 1999. After a hiatus in the early 2000s, the band reunited in 2009, continuing to release new music and tour globally.
Currently, the band is working on new material following the success of their recent singles “Piggy” and “This Means War.” Skin expressed excitement about the upcoming tour, stating, “We are really excited to be getting back on tour, doing what we love the most, which is playing live with fire in our belly. This tour will be a completely brand new production, and we can’t wait to share it with the UK.”
The 14-date tour will kick off at London’s Roundhouse on March 29, 2025, and conclude at Guildford’s G Live on April 16, 2025. Fans can expect a powerful showcase from one of the most electrifying bands in rock music.
