The Heavy Metal Truants have announced an exciting online raffle, giving fans the unique opportunity to win an actual piece of Iron Maiden’s Ed Force One airplane, which was flown by Bruce Dickinson during The Book of Souls World Tour.
Founded in 2013 by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and journalist Alexander Milas, The Heavy Metal Truants have successfully raised over £1 million for charity over the past 12 years. Their fundraising efforts include annual bike rides to the Download Festival, auctions, raffles, and virtual challenges.
All proceeds from the Truants’ initiatives benefit four children’s charities: Teenage Cancer Trust, Nordoff & Robbins Music Therapy, Childline/NSPCC, and Save The Children.
The latest fundraising campaign, titled the Monster Rock Auction, features 12 exclusive items from music legends such as Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest, The Cure, KISS, ZZ Top, and Black Sabbath. The auction will run until Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:59 PM, allowing fans to bid for a chance to own a piece of rock history.
