Country star Tiera Kennedy is experiencing a remarkable turnaround in her career after facing a significant setback last winter. The 26-year-old artist was dropped from her record label following more than two years of work on her debut album and eight years in Nashville. This challenging moment marked one of the lowest points in her professional journey.
However, a fortuitous opportunity soon emerged when Beyoncé invited Kennedy to provide guest vocals on tracks “Blackbiird” and “Tyrant” from her album Cowboy Carter. Reflecting on this moment, Kennedy told, “When that happened, I was like, ‘Wow, God. You really do have a plan for everything.’” She described her involvement with the album as a divine affirmation, signaling that she could thrive independently.
Now, Kennedy is set to release her debut album, Rooted, which she feels authentically represents her artistry. The album is scheduled to drop on Friday, October 18, marking a pivotal moment in her career as she embraces her true self.
