Hard rock enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Sick New World festival returns to Las Vegas for its third edition on April 12, 2025. Headlining the one-day event will be iconic bands Metallica and a reunited Linkin Park, taking the stage at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
The festival will feature over 50 performances from major artists, including Queens of the Stone Age, Gojira, AFI, Evanescence, Tomahawk, 311, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, the Flaming Lips, the Sisters of Mercy, Meshuggah, Filter, and Cradle of Filth. Tickets for this much-anticipated event will go on sale starting Friday, October 18.
In addition to the headliners, the lineup boasts a strong undercard, featuring cult favorites like X, Refused, Quicksand, Melvins, and Cannibal Corpse, alongside veteran bands such as Underoath, Mudvayne, Kittie, Orgy, Lacuna Coil, and Stabbing Westward. Notably, Acid Bath, the Louisiana sludge metal band, will reunite for their first live performance since 1997.
Since its debut in 2023, Sick New World has garnered attention for its rare performances, including some of System of a Down’s limited appearances over the last five years. Frontman Serj Tankian expressed his enthusiasm for the festival, stating in an interview with SPIN, “It was more fun than many other tours I’ve been on, which is why we’re doing it again. It was a blast. We rehearsed just enough, but after that, who knows? Let’s see what happens on stage.”
