Country music trailblazer BRELAND is making waves once again with the release of his latest EP, Project 2024. The six-track project marks a defining moment in a year that has seen Black artists gaining increasing recognition in the country music space, with BRELAND joining the likes of Beyoncé and Shaboozey in redefining the genre.

Rooted in his personal connection to Selma, Alabama—a city deeply intertwined with the Civil Rights Movement and his family’s history—Project 2024 blends country music with elements of gospel and disco. BRELAND draws inspiration from the duality of Selma’s historical significance and its modern-day challenges, crafting a body of work that celebrates artistic freedom and cultural resilience.

The EP also features a powerful collaboration with Grammy-nominated Black country duo The War and Treaty on the emotionally resonant closing track, “Same Work.” With Project 2024, BRELAND continues his mission to push the boundaries of country music, embracing diverse influences while staying true to the genre’s roots.

“I’m going to continue to push the boundaries of country music,” BRELAND asserts, signaling that this EP is only the beginning of his groundbreaking artistic journey.
