Unreleased George Jones Recordings Set for Release

by Barbara

Archival recordings of country music legends often lie dormant in record labels and old radio studios, waiting to be unearthed. While some are unfortunately discarded during corporate cleanouts, others are rescued just in time. Fortunately, in this instance, a treasure trove of music has been saved.

In 2014, producer Thomas Gramuglia established Country Rewind Records after uncovering archived performances from around 100 country artists of the ’60s and ’70s. He has since transformed unreleased recordings from renowned musicians such as Waylon Jennings, Connie Smith, and Conway Twitty into albums. His latest project features 16 previously unreleased tracks by George Jones.
