Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has dropped a new track titled “Beauty & the Beast” from his forthcoming album, Bully. The song was first previewed during a listening party at Wuyuan River Stadium in Haikou, Hainan, China, where Ye announced his new project to an enthusiastic audience.
“I got a new album coming out,” he told attendees. “The album is called Bully, and this song is called ‘Beauty and the Beast.'”
Ye shared a live video on Instagram, captioning it: “Live from Haikou. Updated from Tokyo. Ran the ASR through the SP 1200. Bully on the way.”
In “Beauty and the Beast,” Ye reflects on his journey, singing about having “fresh new tires” and his efforts to manage his emotions in order to keep his audience engaged. He revealed that he finalized the track in Japan, utilizing the ASR and SP-1200 drum/sampler machines—echoing the techniques from his early classic compositions. With Bully on the horizon, fans eagerly await what Ye has in store next.
